Conditions of Hire

Bookings

Bookings must be made by completing the online booking form.

The person completing the booking form must be over 18 years of age.

Lagoon Creek reserves the right to accept, refuse or cancel any booking.

Hire fees

Must be paid in full at the point of booking and will not be processed without payment.

Fees and charges are determined by Lagoon Creek and will be available on the website.

Fees are subject to change each calendar year.

Bookings occurring the following calendar year will be subject to that year’s prices.

Hire period

The hire period should include sufficient time to allow set up and cleaning before and after the event to ensure that the next Hirer gains access to the venue at the booked time.

Hours of use 8am – 5pm

The Lagoon Creek Café is open 8am-12pm Monday to Friday – excluding public holidays and Christmas closedown period.

Bookings finishing after 12pm may, on occasion, be required to lock-up the facility. Full instructions will be provided.

Cancellations by the Hirer

Cancellations must be made by the hirer on our online booking system.

• 31 calendar day or more notice: full refund, less 2% service fee.

• 8 - 30 days’ notice: 25% of hire fee will be retained.

• 7 days or less notice: full fees apply, and no refund is provided.

• Catering cancellation fee of 40% will apply if catering is not cancelled 48 hours prior to a cancelled room booking.

Cancellations of bookings by Lagoon Creek

Lagoon Creek may cancel the booking if:

The event is dangerous, prohibited by law, or includes the service of alcohol.

Repairs or alterations to the venue are required.

The hire fees have not been paid.

In the event of an emergency.

If Lagoon Creek cancels the booking without fault of the Hirer, a full refund will apply.

Parking

Ample free parking is available across the road from the PCYC. Parking in the PCYC carpark is not permitted for meeting room patrons. Access to the café is through the PCYC carpark.

Disability Access

Wheelchair and disability access toilets are available.

Disability parking is provided in the PCYC carpark.

Food and Drink

Lagoon Creek is an unlicensed facility, strictly no alcohol is allowed on the premises.

Full catering is available at Lagoon Creek - outside food is not permitted on the premises.

Cleaning

Lagoon Creek agrees the venue will be in suitable repair and clean condition.

The venue must be returned to Lagoon Creek in suitable repair and a clean condition.

Lagoon Creek retains the right to determine the cost of any repairs and cleaning if required.

Insurance and Liability

The Hirer must maintain a minimum of $20,000,000 Public Liability Insurance. Certificate of Currency must be provided on request.

The Hirer will be liable for any claims, loss, damage or injury to any person or property arising from the use of the venue and will indemnify Lagoon Creek.

Health and Safety

Evacuation plans can be found at the main entry to the venue.

Hirers must familiarise themselves and their participants with the evacuation plans and firefighting equipment.

Smoking

Smoking is allowed in designated areas.
