Better Together

Better Together is a community organisation designed to develop a more inclusive Caboolture & Moreton Bay region.

We supports people with disabilities 1:1 under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) to establish valued role and relationships in their local social, civic and economic community as well as provide alternate programs to address other needs of individuals within our community.

Better Together develops and maintains a wide range of strategies, partnerships and affiliations thus contributing to the overall strengths and wellbeing of the community.

The principles of Better Together are:

Welcoming all people into our activities and assisting them to participate.

Promoting an environment free from all forms of discrimination – an environment where people feel like the belong.

Supporting the principles of social justice and strategies that assist people who experience exclusion to participate in our community.

Resolving any issues that would limit the participation of all people.

The mission of Friends of Lagoon Creek is:

  • To actively protect and preserve the unique species and natural environment that is housed in the Lagoon Creek catchment.

  • To re-populate species under threat and introduce native flora back into the environment.

  • To educate and involve the greater community with environmental issues.

  • To put into practice and learn better ways to work with the environment.

  • To give the community a broader understanding of how the environment works as a whole, the detrimental impact and the role we can play so we can all learn how to live more harmoniously with nature for a better and brighter future on this planet we live on, Earth.
