We continue to welcome Expressions of Interest (EOIs) from NDIS participants who may be interested in supported work experience placements at Lagoon Creek Café. This is subject to availability and capacity at the time.
Where a participant is interested in work experience placement, this is offered alongside our Customised Employment (CE) pathway in conjunction with Better Together.
As such, please note this is not a paid role. It is intended as a supported pathway toward future employment through practical, hands-on experience.

What would work experience placement look like?
Through this opportunity, participants may be able to:
build routine, confidence & transferable workplace skills
gain experience in a real-world hospitality environment
use existing NDIS supports during shifts, where applicable
work toward longer-term employment goals in a structured & supportive setting
We work closely with each participant’s existing supports and stakeholders to promote consistency, communication & skill development throughout the placement.
As part of this process, participants are also supported through our Customised Employment (CE) model, which focuses on:
Discovery – identifying strengths, interests & ideal work conditions
Capacity building – developing workplace skills & confidence
Job matching & carving – shaping opportunities around abilities & preferences
Pathways to employment – supporting meaningful, sustainable outcomes
