Are you interested in working in hospitality, but don’t have experience or qualifications?

We get it! After years of supporting the local community to gain the skills and experience to work in meaningful employment, we understand how hard it can be.

Thanks to Skilling Queenslanders for Work, a Department of Trade, Employment and Training invitiative with the Queensland Government, Better Together and Lagoon Creek Cafe now host two hospitality training programs! And the best part? They’re at no cost to you! No funding needed.

The initiative offers programs that deliver training to improve skills and employment opportunities. The programs focus on supporting young people (including those in and transitioning from out-of-home care), Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, people with disabilities, mature-age job seekers, women re-entering the workforce, veterans and ex-service personnel and people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.

Our hospitality programs offer on-the-job, industry recognised practical training as well as comprehensive learning and personal mentoring and development. Earn while you learn and gain a nationally recognised qualification.
